You always try and mitigate events Shane.

If it looks like a pig, smells like a pig and oinks, then it is a pig.

It sure looked like Goddard to me.

I see your following the best tradition of Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammet there Shane. Bravo.

His old man could've won himself a 52" Plasma and $20,000 if there was clearer vision with appropriate sound effects.

I was sitting directly in the seat behind the young boy who was hit. Make no mistake, Goddard was definitely aiming for the cheersquad. Those in the front row saw it coming and were able to evade. The boy struck the young boy about 4 rows back from the fence. He was actually able to block it with his arms but was definitely winded. He is a very loyal supporter and was cheering later in the game as we mounted a comeback. Goodard's apology seems insincere when he claims it was an accident. There is absolutely no dount that it was deliberate.

St John's Ambulance were there in 4 minutes and he was actually ok.

The best thing about this week in melb is that we were booed rather than laughed at.

So you all jumped out of the way and left Kiran to fend for himself.

Forget the women and children - there's a small yellow ball coming at us.

Goddard should give him the ball, bend over and let the kid take a free kick wherever he wants. If the kid's dent is preventing him from putting in a solid boot, I'm more than willing to take it for him.

Yup, Jeff never liked Goddard. Baker rearranged Jeff's eye socket and The Wiz sent an unsolicited character ref to the MRP to try to get Baker off.

But Jeff never liked Goddard.

Eye witness reports from 2 people who saw the same incident from different angles is fairly convincing added to that most players when faced with an open, easy shot at goal generally tend to try and kick it out of the stadium.

Was Goddard asked to apologise? If not then I'd say it was guilt that made him do so. Most likely he wasn't aiming for a 9 year old kid but probably was trying to spear it into the midst of a group of Freo supporters.
