I hope. Two days less rest. Hold up your heads boys. Next time they're ours.

I think we would take more out of beating the saints away than losing, but it happened. Keep up the intensity next week fellas

great game. Not as good as I hoped but possibly better than expected.

The next few years looks a lot brighter at the moment.

I don't think we were in good shape physically for the 4th quarter.

It was a good effort, which had it been played at Subi, we would have won.

More concerned about who can get up for next week to be honest.

How about Roger's third quarter, how good was he?

Can we set up some sort of Stephen Milne hate club, like make it official in some way?

Good game - Freo was intense all day but the saints showed some great footy at the end. They pushed the ball forward at all costs though there were no easy clearances they managed to score.

If the saints are the best then we are not too far away from being better.

Pav had a great game as did Big Aaron. Mundy Barlow Clancee Hill and all our back line were good.

Looking forward to the tigers and the Len Hall game.

I was a bit disappointed with Hase today to many turnovers from errant hand passes, kicks and free kicks against. I counted five.

I thought Hill was great but unfortunately faded a bit in the last. Deboer and van Berlo lacked poise in close in packs.

I thought Ballantyne, Dessie and Mayne were all quiet so hopefully they can get revved up for Subi this week. Overall we can take out of that game, confidence knowing that we can match it with the top four on the road.

Pav, Sandi and Mundy brilliant games again.

Worst game I've ever seen from Hase. He couldn't get it to a teammate when he had it, and when he didn't he's just too slow to get to where he needs to be. One or two more like that and I think he'll be finding he's a victim of the horses for courses policy.

hypen, I agree, we looked pretty spent in the last quarter. It was a very warm and humid day in Melbourne today and the roof closed it all in. It was a very tough game but the boys fought it out and pushed the Saints to play an attacking style they aren't used to.

My thoughts exactly Hypen. Every time Milne gets the ball I feel like kicking my dog. He's up there with Hutchy in my book.

Anyway, couple of tap-in putts coming off a strong showing at the Dome.

If someone had told me at the start of this season that we'd be 5 and 1 after six round, I'd have told Shane he was dreaming.

Few factors in that lose:

1. We were killed in the clearances today.
2. Our zones fell apart for the first 10 minutes of the 4th quarter (tired??). Very cheap goals out the back of the zone at times throughout.
3. Some of our youngens looked a little rushed on the ball. Few too many fumbles and errant handballs.
4. Couldn't get our hands on it in the last 10 minutes when it looked like we had a run on.
5. Didn't seem to match up with their forwards. Goddard and Milne particularly.

However, I was really happy with the game. We stayed with them and even when it could have blown out we came back again.

Headland couldn't bend over to get the ball in the last. JVB dropped some cheap marks. Palmer for JVB. Fyfe for Headland??

5-1 is really likely and we are definitely a finals side this year.

We can't make knee-jerk reactions...Hase was awful but that happens with the best.

Hase has had one bad game this year. By my count that means he has had three good ones and I fully expect him to be back to form next week.

Still can't believe people want him dropped.
