Your eight is similar to mine with a coupla changes
i. You have the Lions finishing fourth, and Brisbane finishing seventh, I can't see that happening.
ii. I reckon the hawks will take the spare spot.
iii. Saints will be unstoppable from round five onwards.

Was walking my son this morning and thinking, if we beat St Kilda (big if) then we probably could make the 8 with 8 wins from 18 games. There are 10 more games at Subi. A win over St Kilda puts us in an exceptionally strong position (to state the obvious).

A loss on Sun won't impact on our season in the slightest. We'll be 3-1, with percentage boosters against Richmond and West Coast to follow = 5-1. This is one of the softest games we'll ever play, because the outcome doesn't matter.
The media wants to talk it up as a vital match so that if we lose they can moralise about our lack of 'character'.
If we win, Harvs (who's been playing the media for chumps all week now) has written the story for them: we were lucky.
Either way, no one in the media will have to think. Easy money, as per usual.
Meanwhile, I said before the season we'd finish second, but that was clearly a miscalculation. We're finishing first.
Who's better than us?

agreed. the boys certainly going out every week thinking "i'd be happy to finish tenth".... so we shouldnt be saying/thinking it eaither. i'd say if we can remain injury free, our young kis ar ejust going to get better. we're looking at a spot between 2nd and 4th, and IF we get forced out of the four it will only be after a monumental fight for the spots.
