Etihad Stadium

Looking on TKT for seats for this weekend at Etihad versus Saints. Does anyone know which end and aisles is the seating area for Freo supporters? Alternatively what is the seating aisles near our bench?

Sat in aisle 19 for the Essendon game which was very close to the players' race. There were a few other dockers supporters in that block.

Ailes 11-14 are behind the interchange bench, Coventry end is usually the Dockers cheer squad. if youre flying in for the day splash out on a premium seat aisle 36/37 second tier. The roof should be closed so will be a cracking atmosphere even for a Sunday twilight!!

Also sat in aisle 19 for dockers game which is good viewing and near the bench.

Get on the blower and your email and see if you have any mates in Melb who are AFL members - they should be able to source you seats in/around this area.

I'd recommend sucking it up and sitting amongst the locals. Vic teams are used to bipartisan crowds and happy to engage in football discussions about teams, trades, etc.

Old mate we sat next too at ESS game and I enjoyed the harvs, bombers, barlow, McPhee, yadda, yadda - you can do same re Peake, Gardy, clint jones etc

Heading over for the game and never been to Edihat before, there is several different seating locations suggested here but I'm not sure which way to go.
One post states aisle 19 is near the bench another says 11-14 is behind the bench?

I'm thinking either

I: By the bench

II: By/above the cheers squad (Coventry St end?)

III: The best viewing seats available regardless of wether there are fellow purple people nearby or not.

I noticed a suggestion of premium seats on the second tier 36/37, by the looks of it this is near the TV boxes so I would think this must be a good viewing location?
Any more advise or suggestions and is there any chance of this being sold out?
I was thinking of just buying tickets at the gate but if I knew the best place to sit I would purchase tickets tomorrow today to be sure.
Collingwood and Hawks at the MCG Saturday night should be a cracker as well so looks like being a big weekend and a very unproductive day at work on Monday.

If there's general admission, grab them.
They're cheap as chips and if you sit up in the third tier on the centre line you get the best view in football.
close enough to tell who is who without looking at their numbers but far enough back and high enough that you could become a zoning coach.
If it's a ticketed match you're best looking for seats with the cheersquad as they will be cheapish and put you in friendly company.

At the recent Essendon game I sat in row F of the third tier to the left of the cheer squad. The view was very good even across to the other side of the ground. The comment about being a zoning coach is spot on, I got a real appreciation for both teams' structures. Despite the height I was still close enough to clearly see and hear the action. Though I have sat at the back of level three and that is too far back.

I was the only Freo supporter, that I could see, in my block and I still had a good time over the course of the afternoon. Had a great chat to the Dons supporter next to me.

In the past we used to sit near the cheer squad on level one. This is also a good position for atmosphere, but once the action gets past the centre square it is hard to see what is happening and I ended up relying on the screens.

The other problem of being near the cheer squad is that it attracts the opposition nuffs nuffs who can be very offensive, ie not light hearted sledging, and take away the enjoyment of being at the footy.

Level two is very good but pricey.

As for buying tickets, if you pre-purchase there is a small booking fee and you still have to line up to get them.
