So the young fellas did pretty well. Silvagni was awesome on an opponent who was 6 inches taller and looked 15 kilos heavier. Stephen hill was incredible, his use of the ball was absolutely flawless and his two goals inspirational. Broughton was great, particularly the two courageous marks in the last quarter. Suban solid again.

But young Morabeauto in just his 3rd AFL game...

i. Kicked 2 brilliant goals just when we were in danger of losing control of the game
ii. Of his 15 touches, 9 were contested possessions
iii. Laid 9 tackles
iv. And his Disposal Effectivityness was 80%

He is getting better each week.

I'm ramping up my one-man campaign to call him The Emperor. For one, it allows me to get all prog-rock grognardy when he runs towards goals by yelling "God Speed! You Black Emperor"

Late in the game a guy a couple of seats down from us shouted out "go Morabito" and my 13 year old daughter cracked up with laughter. When she finally settled down I asked her what was so funny. She replied that she thought the fellow down the row had shouted out "Go my libido”. I’m not sure what was more disturbing, the fact that my daughter seemed to know what this meant or that I found myself accidentally shouting the same five minutes later.

Just been watching the replay of yesterdays game. I hope Morabito gets the Rising Star nomination this week.
I would love for him get a nomination before NicNat.
In the second qtr when he kicked back to back goals and in one of the NAB Cup Games it has just struck me who he reminds me of:
A young Chris Judd.
His kicking on the run and poise and balance are extraordinary. We have another good one and he wont want to go home!!

He has been compared to a young Adam Goodes and you would have to agree he has the skills and the size. Amazing to see a third game player get so physical against the opposition. He will be another ripper. We have a young team full on them. How many more have we not seen yet. Who is next Fyfe?

how good was his second goal running through (a Geelong) pack,roving beautifully, clean possesion, full pace on the run goal ... brownlows are won by his type.. Judd, Goodes, Black..btw 9 tackles. Trengove had a good game and as a Melbourne club will get the rising star this week,but Moro deserves it.
