how good was that

An awesome game. Clean disposal, hard contested footy and the dockers smashing essendon in close. Great game. Hill is the smoothest player since the prince of pockets. All the players were committed to putting themselves on the line and they wilted to the pressure. Bring on the cats.

That Hasleby character goes alright off a half back line.

The thing is for the first three quarters we were well below our best, lot's of fumbling and senior players making poor decisions.

But they kept in touch against a side that was playing to its maximum capability. Then things clicked in the last quarter for us and Essendon could not get near us.

It was fantastic. I am sure I was like a lot of other Dockerlanders just waiting for us to fall over in the last quarter and go down by 2 goals or less....but how nice it is to be wrong.

An even better performance when you factor in how bad McPhee was. I read in the paper that he wants to be a midfielder, at the moment only Richmond (not Shane) would take him for a midfield role. In fact Richmond would even take Shane for a midfield role right now.

Also considering how Suban had his first really bad game. He just couldn't take a trick, in fact it looked like he and McPhee would have rather not got out of bed today.

Added to that the 3 or 4 goals that we butchered with poor handballs etc Thinking about Supapav here for starters.

All in all Harves would be ecstatic given the loss of Ibbo as well.

Bring on next week. Also a little dark as I had Silvagni as an emergency in my dreamteam and he scored well over 100...Bugger.

Kinda sad that it had to happen at Lloyd's tribute game.

No, only kidding. Couldn't have happended at a nicer guy. His pre-game speach trying to drum up something against McPhee and other refugees from Essendon was very effective!

It breaks my heart to know that we are not guaranteed too play the Bombers a second time this year.
