That's a good bit of editing, but it can't have come cheap.
Best bit is where Hags demotes Nic Nat from 'emerging star' to 'cult-figure ruckman', but then the Adelaide sub's gone: nah, delete 'cult-figure'.

Apparently, the new terms to describe slime are 'emerging' and 'robust'
If you attempt to remove the head of an opposing player while he has it over the ball and his attention is on the ball, then it appears you are 'robust'. I think thats code for thug but I'll have to spend more time at the decoding board to confirm that.
Also, if you kick the ball, several times, to the opposition in front of their goal, you are 'emerging'. That may be kimmicode for carp! Again, need more decoding time to confirm.

For Adelaide readers, your version had these crucial omissions:
"the home side looked set to snuff out Port's bid to steal a crucial away win."
"In the defining third term West Coast peppered the ball inside their forward 50m zone an imposing 18 times to Port's three. Naitanui had turned the heat on Port and the game in West Coast's direction as his champion mentor Dean Cox battled severe cramping in his right leg."
"Port had alarm bells chiming loud and clear when nippy forward Brett Ebert marked strongly on the lead in front of normally reliable Eagles captain and champion defender Darren Glass just eight minutes into the second term and the often-maligned Port sharp-shooter bagged his third."
"West Coast persisted with their summer-long intentions to operate with a four-man and wide open forward with the versatile Mitchell Brown a new marking target alongside Kennedy."
Thanks, Shane. Haggers really is an atrocious writer. This poorly constructed drivel wouldn't get a C in Grade 8.

I find it amusing at the softening of the Kimspeak.
The exciting Naitanui has swung from Exciting to Emerging to Cult figure over the course of 6 weeks.
The Exciting Teen Masten has swung from Exciting Teen to Skilful Youngster to Emerging Midfielder, also in record time.

Is that emerging as in "emerging like a hermit crab out of its shell"

Stevedore, atrocious Is good but hardly does him justice. There's no doubt he's at his worst gobbling on about the Eagles, when aquilaphilia and semiliteracy combine to produce dross like the passage you quoted, but he's capable of sucking the English language down the gurgler no matter who he's talking about.
I see, for example, that Jonathan Brown is now "mercurial"! Look, Kim, The Wiz was mercurial. Diego Maradonna was mecurial. Brown is as mecurial as a Sherman tank, as the Himalayas. You have no idea what the word means (lively, sprightly, given to cheating or thieving, unpredictable), so don't f$&@ing use it, you tool!
While we're on it, it's fools like Hagdorn who keep calling Tiger Woods's menagerie of cocktail waitresses, glamour models and stray cats his "mistresses" (a woman who illicitly occupies the place of a wife) rather than the sorry collection of 19th holes they so clearly are.
