I think Ibbo's goal in the 2nd Qtr against the crows should have been a nomination for goal of the year.
Ibbo ran back to intercept a crow pass in our forward line and at full tilt managed to get a hand on the ball to spoil another crow's attempt to mark and still at full pace went on to soccer the ball through for a goal with his left boot. It wasn't an easy kick as he had to curve the ball around the goal post.
He gets my vote for goal of the round.

Another nomination would be Morabito's 60 metre monster that was shepherded through by Sandi.
Monster kick, monster result as it stopped Adelaide in it's tracks!

I agree with both of you guys.
Ibbo's goal was terrific and showed a lot of desperation, subtlety and skill.
Morabito's goal was a long bomb which stemmed the flow and consolidated our position. It actually surprised me a lot because it seemed so much like a Pav-type goal. I did not think Morabito could kick the ball so far. A beauty it was.
Perhaps the most pleasing thing about this game was that all the new guys and youngsters contributed in wonderful ways.

Both goals show great promise; Morabito just seems to be getting better each game and Ibbotsons goal shows how hungry we were on the weekend and how well we were able to lock the ball in our forward line.

Ibbo played soccer until he was 14 or 15. A late convert to footy....Loved his goal

Nab cup Mora kicked a similar 9 pointer goal at Etihad againt the Saints about 60 out, not to be outdone Pav thought the centre square was a better launch pad to bomb a monster 3min later to beat him for distance... early reports said Mora is similar to Goodes in skills, build and looks and the more I watch the more I agree.
back to the thread, Ibbo gets my vote great goal and dedication,it looked like even he was surprised he got it, pure athlete that kid.
