Greetings Dockerland friends,
had a great night at the footy last night, great win by the boys.

Did anyone else pick up on a certain Clive-esque craziness about Mr DJ Headland last night? Unleash the mayhem I say Des, unleash the mayhem.

I particularly enjoyed his running laterally away from goals around the 60m mark so that he could hoof it around the corner for 6 points.

Could just be you.

Des might be maturing as a footballer but his turning circle isn't the width of Subiaco Oval, he kicks in the right direction, he holds most of his marks and even on his worst day he reaches well above the level of competent.

He doesn't even have a mullet.

If Des happens to occasionally make the goal more difficult than it needs to be it's just him going out of his way to retain the interest of the crowd in what was becoming a boring run of the mill thrashing.

He was F A N T A S T I C last night, I loved his game. Let's hope he can stay fit for a large part of the season. He adds a lot to the forward line don't you think?

Obviously there was a problem with that ball and he was just helping to remove it from the field of play.

I think we can all agree on that T_Rex but Clive continues to divide.

I'm tempted to say "don't get me wrong" but we both know what happened last time I pulled that caper - the "don't get me wong" thread was spawned, my most successful ever - went very close to a Bradman on that one for the first and only time.

I usually save this story for poorly attended sportsmans nights but three digits buggered up the formatting on the site at the time so I had to manually reduce the post count to stop the hundred coming up.

Funny, isn't it... I was discussing Clive with complete strangers at the game last night and we all have a good laugh about the Cliveness of certain things... but we're all more than fond of the Albenius himself.

Only a legend can do that. Oh... his place in history is never more celebrated than in remembering his role in the Demo Derby. He won us that game and it provided us with more pure Cliiiiiive than any other game, I reckon.
