Simulcast
#300382
When you get fed up with Liam Pickering crapping on about stats, the idea of switching the radio on instead is always tempting but the delay factor makes it nearly as annoying as hearing that a team is losing because their outside fifties are 10% down on the competition mean.

I was just reading this about how digital radio has a delay.

So, I was wondering if someone out there with a wizbang new wireless that I imagine is disguised as something from the 50's to deter would be thieves, has watched the football with the radio on to see if they sync up now.

I've no idea about the radio but I have experienced this phenomenon with TV. I had an old analogue TV (Mrs FreoBear's, she plays XBox while I sensibly watch Footy) in one room and a digital TV in the lounge (mine). The digital signal is a second or two behind the analogue. Maybe the digital radio and digital TV will be in sync.

Maybe you need a digital radio with an analogue tv.

From Shane's article..

"... The time difference erodes if listeners tune into digital TV and digital radio at the same time, although the feeds may still not be synchronised. ..."

They must have sneakily added that bit in after I'd read it.

If you have a TiVo or other DVR you can listen online which has a large delay and then use pause to delay your tivo so that you can sync up. I do this for the cricket and it works a treat until you forget and change the channels during the ads

Lets all complain and ask for new commentators. A lot of them are hopeless.

If we can start winning they can only say positive stuff then. Am i naive?

We can be an AWFUL force. We are 2nd I believe behind the Slime in terms of money made last season. And we lead the lead with the most sponsorships and money coming in.
