Sudden Retirements
|
#299367 |
Who will be first to duck out.
The AFL will become the first sporting code in Australia to test for human growth hormones and a new type of the drug EPO under a new deal announced with the Australian Sport Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA).
In other new anti-doping measures announced today, AFL football operations manager Adrian Anderson said the league would also conduct extensive blood testing and profiling and freeze samples obtained from players for a period of up to eight years.

Run Benny Run has alluded that this is his last year. Maybe it's not just the book on his spongy mind.

What are they testing for at present?
Is Matt Barber, West Coast's strength and conditioning coach in 1992 and 1994 involved in the program?

They threatened the 8 year samples from the Sydney Olympics on ice too - but I bet they never tested.

I'm sure there would be protests and law suits galore if the AFL were to go back and re-test past samples but I'd love to see it happen. Specifically the ooftits and their tainted grand final appearances.

Shane,
Marion Jones, like run benny run, never tested positive to anything. She was implicated by company (Balco???) records that she had been supplied the so-called 'undetectable steroid'. (also her huband at the time plus other athletes who confessed) She denied it when she was investigated and later when the retained sampled were to be retested with a test that could detect said steroid, she then fronted the investigators with a confession. (From my memory anyway, but I'm sure that how it happened)
She got 12 months for lying to the investigators and later, because of her admissions, lost her medals.
As far as I know, like run benny run, she still hasn't officially tested positive. Which makes you wonder, if the IOC can accept guilt by confession, why didn't the AwFL?

Run Benny run never admitted to using a performance enhancing drug.He admitted to being a drug addict, but not for performance enhancing drugs.Jones admitted to taking drugs to help her perform.
Big difference.Though, many would say,and experts included, that Methamphetamines are performance enhancing.
I think you would find nurses and orderlys would say it makes people strong as oxes and as stupid as them as well.

How stupid are egrrls fans? They eagerly await the release of a book which will confirm that their flag is tainted.
Cuz said that he realised he was addicted to metamphetamines in June or July (can't remember which) of 2006. Egrrls fans truly think that he was a tweaker mid-week but clean on game days. I have two words for them. De Nial.
