Try as they might to stitch Jeff Farmer up one last time for the 2006 season, even the trigger happy Match Review Panel couldn't put together a strong enough case to see him suspended for his clash with Craig Bolton on Friday night. The light brush of Bolton's shoulder was deemed to be negligent, low impact, in play and high which, with a guilty plea would see Jeff get a slap on the wrist but in danger of being suspended should he even sneeze on another player next year.
Not happy with the result against Farmer, the MRP decided to see if they could take Justin Longmuir out. He looked at Barry Hall the wrong way in the third quarter which, as we all know, could have upset the big man and caused Sydney to miss the Grand Final and spoil all that hard work the AFL have been doing up there. He was given the same rating as The Wiz and will get a slap on the wrist, which is ironic because that's what saw him having to front the match review panel in the first place.
Amon Buchanan had no case to answer for his elbow to Troy Cook's head.
