He measures 190cm and weighs in at about 80kg. He's described as having a great ability to read the play and a strong grab. He likes to play off the half back line and, of the three players posters he had on the wall as a kid - Paul Hasleby, Matthew Pavlich and Leigh Brown - he likens his style of play most to Big Leroy Brown. Fremantle dipped their toe into the Olympic sized East Fremantle talent pool with pick 26. Garrick Ibbotson might sound like the name of someone who sends you emails for herbal Viagra and penis enlargements but he's actually an accomplished young WA footballer. With a turn of pace, a big leap and a football brain he's sure to become a supporter favourite at Freo. Measuring 187cm and weighing in at 78kg he's described as a quick defender who can play both big and small. He represented WA in the under 18's in 2005 and was named in the Colts Team of the Year. Also going in his favour is the fact that he hails from Bullcreek-Leeming who have produced two Brownlow medallists in the last 4 years. Expected to go anywhere from top 10 to mid 70's in the draft, Fremantle snapped up a backup ruckman at 46 in 205cm Robert Warnock. Seemingly a cross between Aaron Sandilands and Daniel Bandy, Warnock has a big engine but is developing young for a ruckman. The second biggest player to be drafted this year he's also one of the lightest big men, weighing in at around 77kg. Warnock has a good pair of hands - and he uses them to take marks, he's also pretty handy at ground level. His great strength is his work at the stoppages which will come in handy for Fremantle (once he puts on a dozen kilograms). He was in the Vic Metro under 18's squad in 2005 and was named in the ruck in the TAC Cup Team of the Year.
