Longley started his honorary positions with the Dockers at a young age, being given the very highly regarded job as Number 1 International ticket holder when the club first began. The rumours go that, when the videos of Fremantle games would arrive in the mail, the Bulls players will kick back on Michael Jordan's couch to watch the games then head out the back to emulate their heroes - Jordan pretending he was Andrew Wills and Longley playing the role of Clinton Wolf. They'd go at it for hours at a time and often missed training as a result. It's even been suggested that the knee injuries that eventually ended Jordan's career were a result of him trying to replicate Dale Kickett's screamer on the Subiaco wing in 1996 on Longley's back. But while good news for the club having someone of such stature holding the number one ticket it's bad news for many Fremantle supporters. Being number 1, Luc's ticket is situated at the front of the ground, right at the fence so people in Rows B - Q will struggle to see anything more than Aaron Sandilands taking a ride on Peter Street's back for the next two seasons.
