Blood, sweat, tears, sugar in the petrol tank, heads of dead animals left in people's beds while they sleep - yes it's election time again. Nominations have opened for a spot on the Fremantle Football Club Board. The WA Electoral Commission have advertised for nominations for candidates and the lucky winner will be in action and eating the Monte Carlos by the 1st of December.

After Les Everett's triumphant return to power last year, Dave Garic is expected to be defending his position with a spring in his step. Docker Dave, as he likes to call himself, has been in the job for 2 years now after romping in in the inaugural election. The winning candidate this year will receive a 2 year term and their position will be up for election again at the end of 2007.

Those wishing to nominate for the jobs can pick up a nomination form from the Club from Tuesday October 4th, along with the form they'll be required to submit a 2 page summery of their background and what they can offer the club (sadly ruling out most South Fremantle representatives), a birth certificate, photo and a 150 word spiel to be sent out to the voting public. Nominations close on 17th October.

If you're over 18 and you've got a season ticket or a one of the other membership packages that included voting rights, then you are eligible to vote. The voting will be done by a postal Ballot, to be sent out to voting members on 11 November 2004 and voting closes at 10am Wednesday 30 November.

The winners will be announced on the 30th but if he's available Antony Green will be able to tell you the results a week or two before that, if not, 6664 Evans has said we can let Dexter have a crack over the weekend. The new board member will be sitting in a comfy boardroom chair by the 1st December.
