Tassie Forward Alex Pearce With #37
Fremantle have taken 199cm forward, Alex Pearce, from Tasmania with pick number 37. He's described as a "mobile tall forward with good agility who marks strongly on the lead and is an effective kick on his preferred right foot. Shows good leg speed with his ability to create space between himself and his opponent while also reading the ball well in flight."
Pick Number 17 Nets Michael Apeness
Fremantle have taken 199cm ruckman, Michael Apeness at pick 17. Described as an 'aggressive and competitive ruckman who consistently gets his hand to the ball, providing his midfielders with first use. Has strong hands overhead and can be dangerous playing as a tall forward. Comes from a rugby background.'

Numbers...you can't trust them. The Romans knew what numbers were up to and wouldn't have a bar of them. You can put your faith in a nice sturdy X but a 10, it's shifty. The only thing more iffy than a number is a statistic, they'll cut you open and rob you of your kidneys before you can say "aren't you supposed to drug me and put in a bath of ice first?". Unfortunately we're hooked on numbers though, we need them to work out how many kicks David Mundy had this week...and probably some other stuff too. The Dockerland Labs spent the summer pondering the problem and eventually, when the cricket was over, the fridge was empty and the clicker broke in everyone's pen, they came up with a solution - the stats cloud. A quick glance and you'll pretty much know everything about a game of football that there was to know, at least all the boring bits about it. The bigger the player's name, the more kicks, or marks, or tackles he had compared to his teammates.
Fremantle Better Than 16 Other Sides in the AFL
History will soon forget the events that unfolded in the 2013 grand final, as they become but a footnote in the early days of what will become known as the Fremantle Dynasty but that doesn't make it suck any less. Freo headed over to Melbourne with high hopes but struggled with the local conditions in the first half. Down by 23 points at half time, they made good use of Hawthorn's brown shorts, dominating the centre square and getting within 3 points to look the best of good things by three quarter time. Unfortunately they lacked a the needed polish to finish the job and went down by 15 points to finish as the second best team in the country.
