Another game of football and another four points on the board for Fremantle, doing little but thinking about what they needed to do for a chance of September redemption, it was a cold and calculating Fremantle that sucked the life out of Richmond from the get go and did what was needed to hold the lead at the final siren. Hayden Ballantyne was one of those things that was needed. He put through a lazy half dozen goals after a busy week that involved him having to wear a suit, and shoes, to cover for the lack of tall defenders and the embarrassing tally of 12 goals conceded by the Fremantle backline. Most of those goals came in the last quarter, as the Tigers got a touch closer than some supporters would have liked, but there was never any danger of an upset and Fremantle cruised home to a 2 point win. Nat Fyfe was as good as always, David Mundy had the ball on a string and Colin Sylvia can now say that he has had a kick in a Fremantle jumper.

To save people forking over their hard earned money to the AFL in exchange for a magazine that gets bigger every week, making it harder to get to the only part you actually want - the names of the players, we've introduced the Dockerland Budget.
Fremantle have set out to prove just how farcical the All Australian team has become, heading over to Richmond without their two All Australian defenders with Luke McPharlin out after “scans” revealed that he had a “knee” injury and wouldn’t be able to play against the highly “respected” Richmond “forward” line. Michael Johnson had previously been ruled out after he was subbed off after “injuring” his “knee” against the Adelaide “Football” Club last week. There was no shortage of blokes prepared to put their hand up to cover for the two All Australian defenders but Ross Lyon has gone with his favourite part time, replacement defender that doesn’t mind being subbed off if we’re ten goals up at half time in Alex Silvagni. Just for a bit of fun, he’s also thrown in MCG specialists Colin Sylvia into the team for his first game of AFL football that he will go into expecting to have a win.
