I've said it before - Flinchy is your man when you need to chuck someone in to the bottom of a pack. You can't hurt him and his good looks are not a strong point. The off the ball stuff he did at the weekend (and the week before) was well worth his inclusion. He stays.
VB shows something - he just keeps going and Zsa Zsa is the same. Hard nuts who don't give in - something we have been crying out for over the past few years.
We will need ruck back up so maybe Kep Kep comes in and there is some changes in the set up.

Freo Fanatic: PASSENGERS!!
Fair suk of the sav..there weren't any bloody passengers out there that I saw.
As for van Berlo..he's going ok..not as spectacular as some but does the job..you have to stick by these blokes and back em in..I applaud Harves for giving them time to settle in.
I thought this white anting of players might go away if we won a few, but no...
Enjoy the ride and cheer em on, leave the other stuff to the mob on flying high...

I'd make one change and that would be sending stompy back to the wafl to sharpen up his game. He was brought in to cover for an injured Taz and in my opinion was the one player out there on Sunday who looked too rusty to be getting an automatic call up.
Therefore I say Stompy and Suban (obviously due to injury) out and Taz and Schammer in.
When you have the sort of depth that freo have at the moment I think it is dangerous/complacent to adopt an attitude of "we're playing well so lets not change anything" because as well as playing against the opposition each week the players also have to be challenging their own and each other's ideas of personal bests.

Oh sure, don't get complacent about perceived depth and there's also the business of switching players to suit matchups from week to week....
but passengers? Give me a frickin break.

Doesn't really matter what anyone writes in here. The coaches will pick who they think best matches the team we are playing, the ground we are playing on and the form of our players. Its not our job to pick a team, its our job to support it.

I dont think Tarrant and Dodd should play in the same team. We have enough stopping defenders already with SCOS McPharlap there as well. Suban should be replaced with a similar style player - rebounding defender - and with that there are two options, Schammer and Pearce. I would select Pearce due to his longer and more accurate disposal and the ability to kick goals from outside 50.
I dont know how Mark could get him off the rookie list though. We shall find out on thursday afternoon.
Strait swap of Tarrant in Dodd out is the first change.

Meh? Meh?! There was nothing 'meh' about Sunday's game freofanatic.
Your inability to recognise that JVB has played each game better than his last this season, not to mention the vital contribution of Stompy on Sunday is bewildering. Srsly!
Anyway, I reckon Kepler would def have played if Ottens had last week, and am pretty sure they'll find a spot for him aginst the Aints. Don't think the runners/midfield rotations are quite as necessary as they are at Subi. Would also expect Kep (or maybe Zac) to play in the derby - so am thinking Kep might get a run for the next three games. Am sure he'll be giving it his all if selected.

Dave B, you've ruined it for me. Surely the only point in contributing to the forum was to get straight in to the ear of Harves?

I love Schammertime and I dearly hope there's a place for him in our best 22 (and that he deserves it) but its not as a replacement for the Subanator.
Long incisive runs and pinpoint kicking from half back is not what Schammer does.
If Monty Barlow gets injured - Scham straight in. They are a straight swap.
I reckon Taz in for Suban and a backline shuffle - there'll be odd match-ups anyway with The Crying Albino & Koshishkebab out for the Aints.

Not convinced that Dodd should stay for another round. And given that the saints have two big boys in the ruck I'm thinking that Kepler and Tarrant are in and Dodd is out. Though Zac might get in ahead of Kepler but I am thinking he needs more time in the WAFL and more bulk.
