Can I suggest you all have a read of Drubbing's very entertaining blog entitled "False Dawn" - he is one talented chimpanzee!

Folding like a Chinese laundry worker? That had me grinning like a wanking Jap.

Good effort, Drubbing. But it made me kind of sad and nostalgic for the work of our friend Mission Man.

He hasn't been to the footy with us much lately, but he turned up for the 2nd and 3rd quarters on Sunday with two of his boys (one in a Bombers jumper - very brave lad). I wish he'd been able to stay to see the Mayhem officially being Unleashed. He deserved to see it, hear it, smell it, and hug it.

Unleash the Mayhem indeed.

Rocking up in the second quarter? Has he changed his name to Bandwagon Man?

I empathise with him having a non Freo supporting son - my oldest barracks for Collingwood.

It's doing my head in.

A sledge worthy of Malthouse, shane. Nice work.

Good to know that Mission Man is still about and rocking up to the footy now and then.

Certainly do miss his entertaining posts.

Also, miss Matt Price's column in Weekend Australian. I wonder what he would have made of the last three weeks?

Dunno, but I reckon he would have loved to ask Mick Malthouse for a foreword...

I've been AWOL for a while because, sadly, things far larger than footy intervened.

Sunday was one of the tonics I needed. That, and grabbing a late ticket to AccaDacca in what was otherwise a very sad week.

I couldn't help thinking of Matt Price when he said: "Somewhere on the planet there must be some poor sod who went to an AC/DC gig over the last 40 years and who left disappointed. Maybe. But probably not." I wasn't.

I've been meaning to go and see them since Bon Scott up and died on me. I rocked out like a drunken Spaz. Small children nearby were nervous. I wondered if they knew what they were singing along to with The Jack.

Yes, they're the Macca's of Oz Rock; no matter where you go, you're going to get exactly what you expect. Songs and guitar solos you know back to front, an array of Spinal Tap-like props that all work, and at least one Angus fried bacon solo, that goes on so long only a 17 year old air guitar champion could get into the whole thing.

So after knocking out a bit of tomfoolery, I'm chuffed to read it raises a smile.

Mission Man got me hooked on this place. He did it far better, and more often.
