Suffocating a star
#303619
clicky

Poor Ablett gets shoved, bumped, scragged, niggled, kneed, pushed and pinched for around 120 minutes every weekend?

Well this is absurd! It should be stopped immediately. How could we have never heard of this before?

Poor Ablett, I really feel for the bloke now.

No one else in the whole entire history of AFL/VFL has ever had to deal with this sort of treatment, why should Ablett?

He should make a protest or something!

Disgusting.

Crowley fought back brilliantly in the second half and did a grand job on Ablett.

Ablett's team mates have a say in how he gets treated off the ball, you get the impression they think he is a little prick too.

Agreed, I think there was about 3 stoppages on our forward flank from crowley tackling ablett as he grabbed the ball, pretty sure it resulted in the hill goal

There's no "I" in Ablett.

Do we know if the ump saw Frodo nipple cripple Ablett or did the tutu wearing pussie dob?

My guess is that the kiddie who wrote the article is one of the locals. Do a search on his name and you come up with stories about .... the Cats.

They're a funny breed down there. Just look at Cameron Ling - half man/half crayfish.

The "n" in nicolass' surname must be silent.

Ablett did play really well for the bulk of the game.

Crowleys bear hugs as soon as Ablett got the ball in the 2nd half was sensational.

I guess its like referring to trying to stop a tidal wave. You cant totally stop it but if you put up enough sandbags and preventative measures the devastation is not as severe.

Ryan was like a pack of cling wrap on an Ablett salad.

The first time I saw the hover and almost wrap technique used it was the ranga from geebong on Hase years ago.

Ablett is a star. Cannot be denied. And I'm not ashamed to admit that I enjoy watching him weave effortlessly like some underworld wraith come to mock the helpless mortals.

But it's better when he gets caught. Especially by Crowles. Who did so well to wrap him up so many times without giving the ump the opportunity to blow for that stupid interpretation of the "in the back" rule.

Judging by that cheeky grin he wore, looks like Crowley enjoyed ambushing him too. Great effort.

If Ablett had remembered to wear his nipple protector like Wojinski did there wouldn't have been a problem with Ballantyne.
