Big time Dockers supporter.

However can we stop bagging the umpires every week. Sure there is decisions that go each way. The play on was a joke, some holding the ball interpretations were inconsistant, but we also got away with a few crucial calls.

Lets stay positive win or lose and not blaim umpires.

Now for some lovely commentary by Judge on radio after game. What a tool! Someone said Dockers could be at worst 5-1 and looking at final 6. Judge replied well its only 3 rounds in.... definately top 8 but top 6 is a stretch!!! What an idiot. His tone was one of 100% top 8 but top 6 forget about it.

Go Dockers!

I'm not usually the one to cut the maggots some slack but after watching the replay on TV, I think they mostly got it right. Granted there were many instances where the pussies clearly threw the ball and don't mention holding the ball, but the replay also shows the umpiring was less worse than I thought while at the game yesterday.

I just know I'm gonna get slaughtered for this.

In the block where I sit bagging the umpires has been escalated from a national pastime to an Omplyic sport.

FreoBear, I don't know how you came to that conclusion.

Fremantle were nailed for marginal 50m penalties all day. David Mundy won a kick in the centre square and the Geelong player threw the ball back to him and it missed Mundy by 5 metres. No 50m penalty awarded.

The holding the ball rule seems to be based on a sliding scale; the level of tolerance increasing with your profile in the game. Ablett was getting spinned 1.5 revolutions in a tackle and did not get pinged once.

Ask Dodd about prior opportunity. Mcpharlin has gone for a push in the back call that was absurd. De Boer made a legimate attempt to mark and got pinged. Dodd moved off his line no greater than most and got called and pinged.

No, they were poor - they get sucked in to high profile teams and players.

Fair points some. The Dodd decision was out right wrong. And they do seem to get more disposal time when tackled. The 50m were carp. Don't get me started on the 5m free kick zone.

What I was referring to was that while watching the game live I thought there where many more dropping the balls and throws than I saw on the TV replay.

I, for one, am happy that the maggots made that call against stomper.

It made Pav angry. Put himself in the middle, snaffled the ball from Gary and kicked a monster goal from the square.

With some of the rules open to interpretation and the speed of play there is always going to be some dodgy decisions made. Rarely do bad umpiring decisions the result of a game. Players cocking up loose games. Good players rise above all else and don't blame others for a bad performance.

Oh we don't blame others for the bad performances of the umpires, don't fret. We certainly blame the people responsible.
