Good work Crowley

Ablett may have had the better of him for 3 quarters, but in the last when the game was there to be won, Crowley was all over him. I could see Ablett's bottom lip hovering a few cm's from the ground and the eyes starting to glass up.

It shows character when you have be beaten all day to stick with it, so well done Ryan Crowley.

I was going to post something very similar DaveB. Just watched the replay on fox and there was a time in the middle of the last quarter where Crowley made 3 tackles on Ablett within a couple of minutes. He fought back well. When we needed him to lift in the last he did. He did what he knew best a started some niggle in the last quarter. Invaluable player!

Creepy's been trying to find form as well on the back of a long time out of the game. That quarter might give him the momentum to take another big name out of the game. Interesting to note the commentators talking about Deboers effort on Byrnes. Held him goalless and didn't seem to have the run he normally has through the middle. I don't know how accurate this observation was but if its true that is a big scalp for the young kid.

Agreed, it's not the easiest job in the world to hold back that freak-of-nature, but when the chips were down, Creepy was all over him. Ablett could have won the game for them if he wasn't held tight. You could argue that Creepy was one of the best on the ground in the last quarter. He did some useful stuff when he got the footy too.
