Bicentennial Man Paul Hasleby will be looking to celebrate his bicentenial match and 16,000th painful expression with a win over the Blues this weekend. Hasleby's desire to be carried off by Bryon Schammer has taken a blow though, with the fiesty South Australian sent back to Claremont for failing to win the game for the Dockers last week. Zac Clarke has also been given directions to get him back to the WAFL while Nik Suban has buggered his elbow somehow. Into the side will be some handy inclusions with a bloke by the name of Rhys Palmer getting a game, along with Dylan Roberton and Matt de Boer. The Blues have had to leave out their top goal kicker, Setanta O'hAilpin bringing back Lachie Henderson to replace him.
Freo Formguide: Carlton v Fremantle This week is the start of Fremantle's residency at Eddie's Hat Stadium. The Dockers will play their next 4 away matches at the dome, with the players hoping desperately that they don't get injured on the corrupt surface while trying to pick up a few handy wins and get themselves into a winning routine, just in case the unthinkable happens and Fremantle are forced into an away qualifying final. For the opening week of their run, Fremantle will play Carlton. Last year Carlton provided Fremantle with their only win away from Subiaco Oval when they Dockers were sent on a convoluted trip to the Gold Coast. That was the Dockers fourth win from their last five away matches against the Blues, so history suggests Fremantle should go into the break in equal second spot on the ladder.
Bugger! Football and Fremantle were both losers this week as St Kilda continue their evil plan to try and drive spectators away from Aussie Rules football. Some loose work in defences saw Freo let the Saints out to an early lead, forcing them to spend the rest of the match fighting through the flood and the zone and the huddle and every other tactic Ross Lyon could come up with to defend his narrow lead. The Dockers came home strong but didn't have the man power on the paddock to finish off the job, losing by three goals but sticking about in the top 4.
