Ibbos replacement
#302353
The worst has stated that either Schammer, Pearce or Bradley will take his place. Who would you pick?

For me, its pearce for his long kicking and hard running which is in line with what the team has dished out in the first two rounds. Second is Kepler for back up ruckmen.

I wouldnt put schammer back in, his handball game and poor disposal are the remains of freo's past and shouldnt be revisited. Not saying he wont get a game in the future, but shouldnt be picked against the Cats.

This selection will be removed in a couple of weeks anyway when Palmer returns to the side.

I've backed Schammer a lot in the past but I'm on the cherished youth bandwagon now. Normally I'd be jumping in calling for an older, more experienced bigger bodied player against a side like the cats but Pearce is bigger than Schammer!

I'd also like to see Taz given the weekend off to fully recover from his ankle injury. He's getting on and I'm hoping to squeeze a few more years out of him yet. No point risking him if Mooney isn't playing. Get him 100%.

MacPharlin can take the crab Hawkins and One Melee can return to the side to whip the old man Podsiadly. We'll still have Silvagni to take the third tall.

I'd say Pearce. Is de Boer not available?

I'd imagine Deboer will play a game in the WAFL before being promoted onto the senior list although Dutchy had a great game against the Cats last season.

I remember Hill getting dropped by that sniper Ling. Suban and Deboer came rushing in to throttle him for a while before the umps intervened.

Pav sorted him out after the replay on the big screen though. Ling look like he was about to wet himself!

I tend to think Pearce is the best option.

Assuming Mooney's appeal does not get up, I would think that Sandi could be supported by Michael Johnson rather than adding Kepler for the second tall.
If Mooney does end out playing then Kepler might come into the mix as a cover for him down back and a support to Sandi as well.

I think Kepler might be a good match for Mooney if he was needed because of injury to Tarrant.

Replacement should be Fyfe.

Nat that is, not to be confused with the bloke who draws cartoons for 'Hey Hey it's Saturday'

Has to be Schammer. He'll be desperate to play well which is why this new policy is win-win. Deserves a shot and he'll make the most of it. Likewise if Dodd comes in for Tarrant, he'll be sure to impress. Mark my words, if they play, they will both play their arses off. I'm backing them in.

Pearce is the best option.

Anyone disagree go to youtube and watch the highlights from Freo tearing Ess apart at Subi in round 21 last year.

DB & Pearce were going neck-and-neck for best on ground.

I look forward to Clancee walking up to Josh Hunt and going;

"Hi I'm the new and improved version of you", before he kicks 5 on him.

All that Schammer had going for him in past years is that he tryed hard, and stood tall above the rest of guys going thru the motions of touching the ball twenty times per game. As Schammer their skills of kicking and hand passing were poor.
The new guys as Hill runs a mile and rarely never wastes a kick. I like Schammer. Ive enjoyed Hase this year, past years it haven't.

I like Pearce - but don't know if he has been elevated. Kepler can run and carry and could be useful forward and on the ball. Fyfe too has his points but I think the cats would target him for chopping practice.

I agree with Bizkit's reasoned argument.
