Freo are going to win the premiership this year!
How do I know this you ask?
At the beginning of October 2009 my girlfriend and I jetted off to live in the USA for 12months. As exciting as this was the thought of missing all of the AFL season and most of the NBL season was very upsetting for (you can hold off on all your gasps that people do actually follow the NBL!!).
Before I left I had the same conversation with several family and friends that pretty much went along the lines of "put all your money on the Wildcats and Freo to win it all this year because knowing my luck they will do it when I'm out of the country!"
For those of you that haven't heard, the Wildcats did take out the NBL championship, and now with the start Freo has had I can't help but assume they will do the same!
So to all the Freo faithful, you are most welcome!!
(I am going to be selfish and return for season 2011 though, sorry!)
