i agree, but only because i had a heritage guernsey on back order the week before the heritage game, which arrived at freo and was express posted out on thursday.... and arrived at my house on monday after the heritage game.
they haven't used that heritage strip since...

Ouch!
I was gonna build a house a few years ago, but the crucial item I needed was the game worn Hase jumper from the Purple Haze game to go in the games room.
Missed out on the jumper.
Didn't build the house.

I think the Egrrls wearing the state jumper reminded the AFL about all the concessions they heaped on them when they entered the competition....when they were virtually a state team who were handed 2 flags. Freo come in the year after the second Egrrls flag and therefore there's no way we were gonna get the same concessions.
Can you imagine what effect a 2 year moritorium on non-WA teams drafting WA players would have in today's system?
The concessions offered to GC and GWS are weak by comparison.
If a WA team joined the AFL in 08 with the same concessions the Egrrls had - they would have exclusive rights to Palmer, Masten, Hill, Rich, Natanui, Mayne and all the other WA guns including our excellent rookies.
