He is an absolute gem. Couldn't be happier picking him over Rich.

Zorro, might be related but when I try to vote for Elvis or Hill every week the page just sits there loading until I close it. I don't think my vote is registering for them.

Stephen Hill looks to have beefed up a bit and has more confidence going into this season.
He played junior footy with two of my nephews, and when I asked them what was so good about him, they said:
"He's got the X factor".

He reminds me a little bit of Phil Krakouer. Not as laid back as Philip was; maybe Phil with a jet-pack on his back.

He is certainly a thing of beauty, as both Jim and Phil Krakouer were in their day.

Stephen Hill is just going to get better and better. And he is a terrific young man, more to the point.

Chinaman, get down to Shark Park this Saturday afternoon - you'll see the closest thing to Jimmy (his boy, Andy) play. Having Kraks free and playing in the WAFL is worth the price of a membership.

Hill's a ripper - I wonder how long we will have to keep discussing the picks in that draft? It's simple really - Rich has little arms, Hill long ones. Why don't they focus on everyone passing up Cyril (until #12), or whoever-the-heck the EGirls picked over Lewis Jetta? Then there's Maston....oh dear....yes...

then

there's

Maston...

I want to have Hill's babies.

But I may need some medical advice from Tragic.

You are right Pollyanna, Andrew is still a terrific talent. I watched bits of his two games this season and he is puttng great pressure on the ball carier, and is often too quick for his mates.
He does play a lot like Jimmy, because Jimmy was a far greater team player than many people give him credit for. Andrew has exactly the same approach of giving the ball to team-mates. He makes 1% stuff look like 100% stuff.
I note that Brian Dawson reckons that Andrew could still cut it easily in the big league, and it is pretty obvious he instinctively plays so far ahead of most his WAFL mates in passages of play.
It would be great if he could get back to the big league. He is still only about 24 years of age I think.
The book on the Krakouers written by the Murdoch uni guy reveals an incredible lot of interesting stuff about Jimmy.
Many of his North team-mates rated him as the hardest trainer and a genuine friend.
Apparently when interviewed on being runner-up in the Brownlow, he gobsmacked the press by simply saying:
"It does not really bother me actually. I don't play for awards that kind of stuff. I play for the pride".
A fantastic footy read. Talk about a racist underbelly of the times.
I'd love to see Andrew in a Freo jumper sometime soon.

Wizfan,
Intra- abdominal pregnancies have occurred with successful outcome, in women. Theoretically such a pregnancy in a male is possible using a donated egg, IVF, some dodgy medical ethics, an overseas hospital and a large loan from the Barnett government. The risks would be enormous. There is also some doubt that Stephen Hill would find you attractive.

Bummer. I was kind of hoping for immaculate conception.

Chinaman, that bk you refer to is called Brotherboys and it's by Sean Gorman. It is, as you say, a great read.
