Jeb, strong indicators are all around us.
I find when opening a stubby of Carlton Draught, if I can correctly answer the trivia question under the cap then the player whose number is on that plastic bit of film under the cap will have a good game on the weekend.
On Wednesday evening I learned that Ra is indeed the Egyptian Sun God even though the Sun was Horus' right eye...and that Nathan Fyfe would not only make his debut on the weekend, but he would play well.
It's classic catch 22 for me. The more beer I drink the better we play, but those questions keep getting harder.... to read.

Mcleody we share the same dreams only I think mine are a little more realistic; we should be 2 from 4 after the opening month, and 4 from 6 after accounting for the lame tiggers and bald eagles in rounds 5 and 6.

MJ might be a great roaming defender but he ain't
built like a Brick Sh*tHouse.
He had some OK NAB games...benefited on some nice passes rather than gut busting leads and strong postioning.
Plus even in the early days of MJ career when he was pinch hitting he never hit me as really comfortable as a forward.
He's kicking in rnd 1 was really really crap (that no pressure scrubber kick into the 50th was a shocker) so rotate him off the bench onto the ball OR as an centre forward/half forward until he tecovered from injury and gets his groove back.
Agreed with other posters about flyte replacing van bero, dodd for macphee and hipless for.....??

I have only written of my dream and it was vivid; we were on 14 points after drawing with Saints.
There was also the Moon in the seventh house and Jupiter aligned with Mars .... and as you know this is the Age Of Aquarius.
I was once out strolling one very hot summer's day
When I thought I'd lay myself down to rest
In a big field of tall grass
I laid there in the sun and felt it carressing my face
And i fell asleep and dreamed
I dreamed i was in a hollywood movie
And that i was the star of the movie.
Yep, Jebediah it was 14 points after round 4.

I remember thinking at some point during the game "my god we've drafted some young blokes who can actually kick, and they seem to even have some kind of idea of how to play footy."
As opposed to tearing hair out as players do circle work on the wing, fumble and miss handballs in near biblical amounts and kick to leading forwards in a manner that suggests that they are either 9' tall or are about to be hospitalised after having to camp under the footy for ten seconds waiting for it to come down.
On Sunday no doubt jeb and others got a glimpse of what may be. What we all hope
will be. Schammer and Dodd have bled purple and are certainly required but the reality is they are not in the top 22 at the club. Perhaps this will change and there are always injuries but the new guys showed a hunger that they want to keep their spot.
Can't wait to see Palmer hase hill barlow mundy and Sandi in the middle. That will be a midfield to be reckoned with!

MCloedy, I see queen Mab hath been with you.
I talk of dreams,
which are the children of an idle brain,
begot of nothing but vain fantasy,
which is as thin of substance as the air
and more inconstant than the wind.

Dodd and Schammer will play itself out over the coming weeks. Some people like watching some and despise others. I was the same way with Mcmanus. Boy he used to get under my skin.
I am more looking forward to Suban having a 70 metre disposal to Hill on the run, with out missing a stride, then hill with another 70 metre disposal to the forward line, hitting Mayne/Ballas lace out.
Those two made Subiaco look short last weekend. Imagine what they can do to Etihad today. Maybe no need for Mayne/Ballas.
The same team and so it should be just like you say Ricci7. The pressure at Subi last week should be multiplied on a smaller ground. Let's hope it can be repeated.

When we win our 1st flag, we will thank all of those who've been part of the journy, including Mann, Abraham, Koops etc But we will reserve an extra cheer for a select handful who've given us special memories, Durrkhay, Macca, Bell, Clive.
I believe Stompy & Byron will be amongst the special memories.
Whether they are also still part of the team that takes the field that day will be up to Harves & Co. I'd love to see them there but I for one am happy to leave that to the coaches. They been bloody good so far with their choices and I figure they're better at it than any of us.
So please everyone shut up, sit back and enjoy the ride and give a loud cheer to whomever runs out.

Schammer reminds me of macca - plenty of guts, good at getting in and under to win the ball then butchering the kick. If he changes his style like macca did,to win the hard ball and then handball to the running brigade for delivery into the forward 50 he will maintain his spot. As for Dodd every team needs a mongrel to keep the other team honest.
