they didn't write anything because they didn't have to justify his inclusion, it was obvious to the eyes of everyone that has eyes that he should be there.

4 of the 5 were rookies. Let's just consider how well that reflects on our recuiting staff.

Having said that, the preponderance of rookie listers among the best players at every club is notable. Maybe they're hungrier and more determined?

Rookies have a better chance of making it for 2 reasons. They get a longer time to develop as they are on the list for 2 years and are 20 on ebut not 18. often they are overloed because they aren't an "athlete" and can run as fast of jump as high or do a beep test as well aste others in draft camp, but what draft camp doesn't measure is how well they can read th play or find the ball.

For a few years there teams were fixated in recruiting athletes not footballers we did a few times ourselves with guys like Bandy and Croad. Seems we at least have seen the light and guys like Barlow, Ballantyne, Sandilnds etc are showing you dont need to be 188cm, 90kg and able to run a sub 11 sec 100m to find the footy.

and they don't have to play as well to get praise because expectations are so low.
