A friend of a friend told me that on the back page of the Worst the headline was "The heat is on Voss" & "The Eagles to test Lions premiership punt".

I thought it was a bit strange that the heat wasn't on Woosh?

When I arrived home and switched on the set early in the final quarter though it looked like they were right, the heat was on Vossy, but as I poured myself a drink and settled in I'm sure I saw him pull on a jacket as the temperature plummeted.

I can only assume there will be a follow up along the lines of the heat is now on Worsfold and the Eagles fail test.

You have to laugh...

BRISBANE sent a loud and clear warning to the rest of the AFL with a stunning last quarter surge to snuff out a brave West Coast at the Gabba Saturday night.

After taking three terms to jolt their imposing new forward combination of Jonathan Brown and Brendan Fevola into full working order, the Lions hammered home six straight goals to a solitary Eagles point.

and, further in...

The Lions finished with only 18 fully fit players and clear indication of the awesome potential of their new and much heralded forward combination of big Brown and trump recruit Fevola.

The Hackdorn knows it's rightful owner, folks. Kimmy, listen to moi... your beloved Ooftits couldn't beat a team down to no bench. Do we need to spell it out for you? The game we watch now, and have for about 5 years, is based on high bench rotations. Just a couple of seasons back, other men who do what you do, Kimmy, but with a few clues... accepted that if you lost a player to injury in the first quarter you'd probably lose a game. How on earth your mob managed to lose a game when the opposition had no interchange should be a matter for investigation, Kimmy. Serious investigation. It appears that West Coast are soft, Kimmy. Soft, spineless, clueless and not qualified to fill out a proper set of mans underpants.

They're a disgrace but little Kimmy comes out and describes them as brave. That, folks, is a snout planted right up a trough's guts.

According to Haggers, NiNa was a standout. That's some team if 11 disposals, 15 hitouts and 3 clangers is a dominant performance.

Loved the way Rich got a hitout stat.

I watched the game and I thought the commentators absolutely loved the Eagles and were willing them on.

That last 45 mins the Budgies made so many mistakes.

Didnt a commentator say that Clark was flogging Nic Nat through out the game?

That'd be "rising star favourite and future eagles multiple premiership captain Nic Natanui" please Gover.

Feel free to ad "UN middle east peace envoy and single-handed curer of cancer" if you like as well.

If we could rustle up 4 billion we could send him to Afghanistan to buy the total poppy crop and end the global heroin trade overnight and put a lot of hard working 'assets' out of business. It would save a lot of lives, end wars save hundreds of billions and our lot could go an do something useful for a change.

Thought those 22 eagle players were way braver than 18 Brisbane players.
