Massive Attack fans will relate but what I'm thinking of is early last year and the first few games that I saw. One was against Adelaide and I sat up in the lofty reaches of the 3 tier stand and watched us fail to handle pressure, fail to play for each other and generally look lost, disorganised and inexperienced.
While disheartening at the time, it was understandable having turned over such a big chunk of the list.
Sunday sees me back in town so I reckon I'll be at the game. I expect to see something a bit different unfold. Senior players available, younger players knowing what to do for who and where.
The more I think about it the more embiggened I feel.
Win, lose or draw, the signs all point towards a different Freo to what we've known. Harves has a plan and it's slowly being revealed. As someone with a long history of revealing things myself, I feel qualified to offer the following advice...
dance nude, stare the goats in the eye and carry a feather. It can't fail.
Sunday can't come soon enough.
