Does that mean there are still two spots left? Who is brave enough to join us for another season of the DuFFLe and fill these final two positions? Or are you scared by the inevitable dominance of Sos Superstar's?!

Talk it up my fellow competitors but by the end of the season when my Drunken Monkeys take the title you will all be eating sweet humble pie.

Mate, mate, mate....there may be some that will be fearfully looking in the rearview mirror for the Hooley-Dooley bus rambling up the highway at them, beads of anxiety forming on their brows, a nervous sweat making their hands stick to the vinyl wheel of their 4cyl carbon friendly sedans.
Clive - face it mate - you'll be choking on the black exhaust fumes and trying to dodge the empty tinnies being thrown out of the window from the Dooley bus as it steams down the road to wreak unrelenting havoc on some poor sucker's team.

Oh, Lordy - naming your team after that sod...oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.... Mercs, the De Niro thing has drained some marbles (or something). But, on the brighter side, while Hypen, Nelson, Prof Smiles and Oos all aim to snare Sandi in the first round of the draft, we'll all know what hospital bound Tiger you'll be going for.

Sandi in the first round?
I thought Andrew McDougall was the prize first round pick. He can still get a game off the bench in the Frankston reserves leauge right?

Oh, Clive....you're standing in the forward 50 and they're passing the ball around in defence at the other end of the ground. They ain't getting out of the back 50 - they're going to fluff it and you're still stuck in the opposition's goal square.
Wooden spoon mate, you're staring it in the face and you'll have nightmares for years over it.

OK - with Mellors and Slammen added to the list kindly populated by Hypen there is one spot left in the Duffle. Please find someone to fill this spot guys - we cant do it unless we have a full sixteen.
Now we need to talk about draft night. For the newbies, you choose your 15 players via an online draft usually conducted in the dockerland chatroom.
Last years draft started at 7pm and finished very very late. Unfortunately I have been sent to work on the Whitsunday Islands next week, meaning I will be three hours ahead of you guys.
So to prevent a 5 am finish for me on draft night, I would prefer either sometime this week, an earlier start (6ish) or a split draft over two nights. The draft is the most important part of your Duffle campaign, so you must be there. Please hit me with some draft night and time suggestions so we can start coordinating it.
I will provide you all with relevant stats from last year and this years NAB Cup if time permits.
BUT - we need one more !!

Not this weekend, I'm moving house. Can make it Tuesday night if that helps. Presubmission of lists to coordinator is also an excellent idea, which Merc did back in the old days in case someone was a bit slow.

Nelson, one bit of advice.
When it comes to draft night you will bash your head against the wall if you try and make a night to suit everyone.
And time is getting short.
Make a time and night which suits you and anyone who can't make it can forward their list to you. Every year there has been a few who weren't there at draft night.
I have always helped someone unable to make it with their selections and will be happy to do so again.
Any help you need just email me...you can get my email address from Shane.
cheers
oos
