Completely agree. But leaving Sandi out of the team wouldn't be experimenting in quite the same way as putting someone like Fyfe (or Silvagni or Barlow or ...) in.
Still, I'm fine if we leave Sandi out. I've even told the selectors I'm fine with it and they've said, thanks, we'll keep you in the loop.

I think we need to be going as close to full strength as possible this week and next, regardless of if we win or loose on Saturday.
The boys that will be playing with each other for at least the next 22weeks should start to really cement their chemistry.
Use the substitution sometime in the 2nd half to take out pav/sandi/tarrant/mcpharlin or one of the other older guys. But for the most part I think now is the time we start to see the side that will hopefully take to the park each week this year.

I prefer to use terms like 'consolidating a selection pattern' or 'allowing a combination to settle' rather than 'playing with each other'.

They need to use a consolidating a selection pattern so the starting 22 can touch each other and become a tighter bunch, prevent any holes going unfilled when the home and away season begins instead of sucking like they have in seasons gone.

Not if they're seeking synergies and increasing the aggregate value of their top players working in tandem.

I hear Woosha likes to see them merge their core values.

Saints won't field their strongest team. They will want to test a few of their young guys and their seniors will be in late stages of preparation (grand finalist teams are ussually behind the 8 ball in preseason prep at round 1)
We shouldn't load to full strength either. Last week was the important one to win as it gave us another game at eddys hat. This week our selection should be primarily about scheduling players workloads for round 1, and picking a winning team a secondary thought.
Win or lose we get Subi oval next week.
Stay Home: Sandi, Hill, Hayden, McPharlin (Hill in cotton wool)

I think they should think about resting or giving half a game to a couple of the injury prone guys or the guys on the comeback trail like Hayden, Johnson, and Crowley so they don't break down like Headland. We want everyone fit for the real games.

No way, you guys. I want to see some silverware in the cupboard. Play full strength and win! Let's get used to winning, I say!
