Uncle Tim on Ch10 is suggesting that the news is not good for Grover.
Eight weeks - but no surgery. Medial ligament injury.

Desperately unlucky for Antoni but medial ligament damage is usually 8-10 weeks and his could have been worse.
McPhee to come in for him next week.

If there is a positive it could have been ACL.

8 weeks means possibly a round 5 return. He's gonna miss our tough first few rounds and may be back for the Derby round 6. Not sure if round 5 qualifies for LTI listing.

Groves would chew his leg off before he let it keep him out for 8 wks. Mark him down for a return in round 4.

Can we now arrange to have Firrito's UFC videos confiscated? Even those blokes get to walk out of the contest, and they don't even have restrictions like, you can't try to snap my limbs until I'm in possession of the ball. I guess not having rules is one way to solve the problem of the umpires. Though I can think of others.

I must confess that i thought the umpire gave the free the wrong way round in that case. Firrito grabbed grover as he picked up the ball and was pulling him away from the ball - grover had no prior opportunity to dispose and was unlucky to get pinged. I thought firrito could have gone for interfering with a player going for the ball. Hmmmm. Bad luck for Groves - he's been terrific in his two outings so far.

Could you possibly have been more conciliatory?
No more Mr Nice Guy.
The North Melbourne thug should be given (in the interests of liberal decency) the choice of which limb the MRP chops off.

Good luck to Groves. The trouble with medial ligament injuries is that they heal relatively quickly - this sometimes gives a false sense of security because the knee may still be vulnerable. If you come back too quickly from a medial, it may lead to a more serious injury. I'm certain that the medical staff will be very conservative with this injury. In this case, I won't say 'hope to see you back soon', but instead, we should say 'hope to see Groves back when he's really good and ready.'

This was obviously my fault for getting the 14 put on my jumper. Sorry, Antoni.

Nice one DJKL.
C'mon people we need to think of the repurcussions before doing things!
