I celebrated yesterdays win by attending a lecture by Keatings old speech writer, Don Watson.

His pet subject these days and the topic of the talk is and was "Weasel Words - Modern Management Speak"

Imagine my surprise and shock when he gave the following quote as an example

"We have spent a lot of time developing this, talking to a lot of different people who are well versed in leadership structures, across the business world and other areas, to come up with a structure and program.

We believe this is part of an action plan for change to move forward and be even better.

The key thing is showing strong leadership to achieve what we want to on and off the field, and those players have to be more committed to that than anyone else to lead the way.

The leadship group will be enforcing that, and living the values that are put in place."


No wonder they got caned on the weekend. No one had any idea what it was the coach wanted them to do......oh that and the fact that they are carp

Can you just picture his assistant trying to follow that ?
Nodding approvingly in the background.

I'm sure it's forced the retirement of other intellectuals in that Club.

Trying to follow that unaided would be impossible.

basically the eagles got the better of the judd deal because they went crap and got some draft picks. are still crap and might get some more.

I can see this gradually evolving into talk that the Eagles instigated moving Judd so they could start their rebuild before the Gold Coast got into the draft.

They might have been formed in 1987 but they are right out of 1984.
