... I love sex. I love my son. My lady friend completes my life.
But someone just gave me the 3/4 time score in the Evil Empire game and I'm thinking to myself: when was the last time I felt this good?
Excuse me if I've got this wrong, but didn't Port come over without a ruckman? And doesn't the Empire have potentially the greatest ruckman in the history of the game who could win the next 10 Brownlows? And wasn't Coxy playing too? So that would be two ruckmen the junkies had today — count them: not one, but two — ruckmen who aren't just ruckmen but are in fact the greatest ruckmen ever to play the game, in the game's entire history, since anyone even thought of the game, who'll be tying for the next 27 Brownlows ... that West Coast had on the park today, against a team without a ruckman.
So if memory serves, about 8 days ago Nik Nat was paying around two thousand eight hundred and 72 billion dollars for the Brownlow.
In hindsight, I reckon that'd be about right.

I thought it was just the heat keeping the place quiet. There's a deathly hush on the streets, a mighty disturbance in the force, it's as if millions of souls just perished.
Two ruckmen, you say? Against no-one?
bwa ha ha ha ha ha

"WEST Coast Eagles' coach John Worsfold's invitation for his young Eagles to play daring football came severely unstuck in a mistake-riddled NAB Cup failure against an inspired Port Adelaide at Subiaco Oval."
hmmmm... ok, Haggers
"West Coast signalled intentions for a sincere assault at attempting to win a place in Friday's semi-final sending a near full strength outfit into battle with only four of their preferred start-up players missing when on-ballers Daniel Kerr, Andrew Embley and Matt Priddis and dashing half-back Shannon Hurn all rested."
oh... so, which is it, then? It's not so much that he's one sided, really... he just can't write.

From the AFL site: apparently Port had some 'back-up ruckman' called Justin or Whatever Westhoff or Something who had ... wait for it ... 23 possessions and 5 inside 50s!
Could this possibly get any better?

Now I'm not usually one for cheap shots, and ol' Kimmy usually cops it hard enough on here to save me the bother, but I've just read his report on The Budgies game tonight. Now I realise it must be a rushed first draught by a man who must have been suffering badly from his heroes thrashing, but can anyone figure out wtf he is trying to say in these passages?:
Port's win marked the first time in seven travelling missions in the opening two NAB rounds when a side on the road has been victorious.
Crucial defensive assignments were also successfully executed for Port.
West Coast clearly over-used the footy early for poor return and especially backward of centre when attempting to retain possession in zone defence set-ups and waiting for clearing chances to generate forward movement.
With Kerr, Embley and Priddis out, West Coast alternated a band of forward flankers from among converted scoring avenues Waters and Nicoski as well as Masten and Brad Ebert when resting from on-ball duties.
Wow! Talk about mangling the English language!
