If Saint Kilda get away with this, it's a nice precedent. Can I ask this question, what was the stated reason for his contract being terminated? www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/st-kilda-...t-20100215-o2xp.html It seems the AFL can stand him down for being charged with this crime but can St Kilda tear up his contract for being charged? To me it just seems they didn't want him around anymore so they terminated his contract. You pay him out don't you?

So now being late to training is a de-listing offence? Surely no one's going to swallow this garbage, are they? Surely the AFL's got nowhere to go with this except to tell the St Kilda hierarchy to stop smokin' that Gold Coast weed and get professional! Your ambit-claim stupidity is bringing the competition (whose 'competitive balance' we care so much about) into international disrepute! Or did I miss something and Grant Thomas got appointed to the secret role of St Kilda Super President? In which case, all of a sudden every single microscopic part of this makes perfect sense.
