Straddo, Treacy played on in the goal square, and was pushed 2 hands square in the middle of the back. This caused him to miss the goal. At the other end of the ground that was being paid as a free kick. Momentum killer. The umpires were nearly as anti Freo as the commentators were.

Every top 9 side has copped a belting like that in this season. Why are Freo the only team to be slammed and slandered by the media. Disgraceful effort Ch7 and foxtel.

Because every other team didn’t do it with so much at stake and their club’s greatest player retiring and imploring them that very same week to live in the moment and win that fire-trucking cup.

And few other teams continually poo their beds like Freo when the opportunities if they don’t are so great.

Gold Coast could get a bit of heat for their performance today but they don’t quite have the history of failure.

Fact is, if you can’t handle any weight of expectation, you’re in the wrong industry and it is right for many questions to be thrown at you.

Watching the replay now and there really was some bad umpiring that contributed in the first qtr.
Have 2 umpires and at least be consistent, the Logan Morris 150m just smacked of someone trying to meet his KPI’s , Logan Morris admitted he milked it and an experienced umpire just wanted to assert himself.

You can add Western Bulldogs, St Kilda, North Melbourne and even Melbourne that they turn up in the past sixty years and have droughts of five to ten years then maybe have GF appearance to keep relevant...and maybe win one. I was a foundation member of the Eagles and jumped a year after their first premiership as the bandwagon supporters didn't understand their team would lose...it was awful to sit with the slime footy uneducated. The thing I enjoyed most was the fear for a slime supporter when a opposition supporter turned up in their colours. The banter never was jovial. If you go back and look at the success of these AFL/VFL clubs going back the mythical 100 years. They can have their mythical believes...But have a look at the years the Dockers have been playing in this comp compared to Carlton who fought for the VFL stats to continue in the AFL future....as they have been a basket case. Dockers are a powerhouse.

My kids sometimes get to share a bag of Allen’s snakes. They all get lollies but one will say, “she got one more than me, no fair!” and act harder done by than a child in Gaza for the next half an hour. It’s a ridiculous argument.

If you don’t think Freo deserve more heat than any other top 8 team right now, I disagree with you.

They had a big bowl of snakes in front of them. Again. Plenty of red ones in it too, in fact. Then kind of danced around the table while the mates they had over for a party shrugged their shoulders and ate them all. Again

i) I didn't say Gold Coast don't have a history of failure. I said they don't have the history - meaning the number of chances Freo have had and fallen short without a puff of contest.

ii) who thinks it's ok? I don't. But what's the point when I don't care about others' floggings, I'm just sick of Freo copping floggings when the situation is set up for them with everything to play hard for and to be sitting pretty if they win.

iii) Cheating is not OK, but if you think that Freo's continual sub-standard performances on the big stage at big times in seasons have more to do with umpires than Freo's situational ineptitude, you are very wrong.
