War of the Roses


Here it is. This is no minor skirmish, it is battle for power and glory. FD1016 is attempting to retain the throne against the usurper Boss Hog. We know that FD has the guile and coaching experience but Boss Hog has the brashness and bravado from one who knows no better. And with arguably a better squad, can Boss Hog martial his troops to claim the throne? I think he will. Luke’s Dukes by thirteen.

Unfortunately, the Colonel and MattyT will get done-over by the power of WillsieAir and the Ingredients, but the other three games look very interesting.

BT v Biz
Neither team is having much luck but at least the El Bombres have fewer injuries. Low scoring win to BT - a seven point margin.

Straddo v Moptop
Yes, he is still undefeated but the White Rabbits scoring is as flaky as Fyfe’s kicking. A real danger game for Moppy but I think he’ll do the job against the plucky Souls. Rabbits by nine.

Slammo-Jnr v The Captain
Really good matchup. The Jokers are in form and the Saviours really haven’t been out of form all season. I’m picking the Jokers by a single point.

I hear Slammo Jnr is in form and so too are the Jokers.
My motley crew have scored above 150 for 3 of the last 4 weeks, with the hiccup being Tom Green getting injured on 3 disposals when he needed 27 to get to the 150 mark.

Unfortunately my opponents score over 150 more often than they don't, including Moppy's 180 last week.
This should be a ripper of a game, and I'll take a 1 point victory for sure.
