Another bloody Thursday night game.

With a 7.20pm start time for Adelaide's turn to host the Thursday night game, you have until 5.40pm (WA time) to submit your team to this thread.

Sorry everyone. There's been a large amount of upheaval in the Hg household over the past few months and it is starting to show on my availability.





You Gotta Do What You Gotta Do

Three games to go in the DuFFLe HomeNaway season and desperation is setting in. Sonia and PK sit outside the top eight and really need to win the next three games in a row to secure a Finals berth. The Captain and Straddo also sit just outside of the eight and if they win two of the next three, they should sneak in, but… The Jolly Jokers and Marauding Souls are playing each other this week. A win against your closest opposition is a must.

My team has dropped away over the past couple of weeks and I need to secure a victory against 391’s Covfefes. Assuming I actually submit a side this Round, victory is a 50:50 chance. So, who is going to be swilling beer at the end of Round 17?

  • Oos will further deflate Cookie.
  • The Captain’s team should be just a little stronger than Straddo’s.
  • Joe has a great chance to scalp Blocker, but will fall ten points short.
  • PK has to win this week and could do so against Nelson’s Dreamers. I think the Riders can do it.
  • Alvin faces the dreadfully unlucky El Primero, but MattyT will usher the El Hombres to success.
  • I reckon I can just pip 391 to the post.
  • Biz has a team in winning form. Polly’s Hooley Dooleys are running hot and cold. Polly could win. And will.
  • The Piglets host Slammen’s Men this week and FD has a great chance to have a win over Slammo’s depleted side. The Piglets will just fall short.

Yes Biz, thought I would claw back a few more games than I have this season on your record. Good job in the back half of the season.

But now for Joe Perfect, taking a guess at team selections but it's coming together pretty nicely, can't complain about last week, would have been nice to crack 200 against Slammo but it wasn't to be. Sadly, probably all downhill from here.

I think Merc has failed to factor in the fact that Sandi is out injured and Apeness has been relegated to the forward ruck role with the return of Hodor so I am not sure I can win any of the last 3 games.

An article on the slime's website indicates Kennedy is close to a recall:-
"Medically, I'm all good to go, so it's just up to the fitness staff now.
"I'll just do normal training on Thursday and have a few tests they want me to go through.
"If all good, then I'll play, but if they make the call and say one more week, then it's one more week.
"It's out of my hands, which is a bit annoying."

Fantasia was also a last minute pull out last week, so hopefully back this week.

If Kennedy and/or Fantasia are not named on Thursday, then please use Cripps as first replacement, then Mundy as second if needed.
Bring Dunstan first, then Scharenberg second onto the bench.

I think I can name a team this week despite losing another one (Phillips) for the rest of the year.
Phillips goes out of the side but Betts comes back in.
I may even get a few others back at last so may make some changes but for now will go with the most likely and throw all the maybes on the bench in case I don't get the chance to submit a team tomorrow afternoon.
