Oh no! Another Thursday night game during the Bye Rounds. Your team must be submitted to this thread by 6.00pm WA time on Thursday. I will select a team for you if you miss the deadline.




Just Rip Off the Band-Aid

Just brace yourselves; there is nothing we can do about this. The last game of the Bye Rounds and the AFL has Round 14 commencing on a Thursday night. We just have to get through this. For many of you, this Round will be the worst of the HomeNaway series. In fact, there are eight teams who have 8 or 9 players unavailable for selection due only to their AFL affiliation having the week off. You'd have to think there will be some more low, low scores and a handful of upsets.

Let's see who will benefit:
  • Oos should sneak home for a win against The Captain.
  • Joe and I have been hard-hit so we will score poorly. I think the Nobodies could do enough.
  • Alvin and Nelson will both struggle to field a team. The Jedis by 5 points.
  • Moptop's Chooks should be too good for Biz's Stars.
  • Polly's boys will again fail to beat Slammen's Men.
  • Blocker and Cookie will struggle. Big chance for the Ingredients to win!
  • Sonia's Spurrs and El Primero will have a good match. Will be close, but MattyT will take home the chocolates.
  • Straddo will defeat PK.
  • Sorry, but the Piglets will be slaughtered by the Covfefes. 391 is least affected by these Byes.

Remember, please, that at the end of this Round 14, all Short-term Contracted players are removed from your squads. You will no longer be able to select them, unless you Trade them back into your squads or enlist them via a Long-term Injury or during the Swap Window.

Mmm on second thoughts maybe I won't field a full team.
Jarrad Waite has re-injured his calf and is out indefinitely so he joins Taberner, Acres and Houli on the LTI list.

I think I will wait before I post the second draft but with a bit of luck, Harry McKay will come back into the Carlton side and so also the Jedi's side to replace Waite in the forward line.

Please, no more injuries.
