I've overstepped the mark - I've hit a raw nerve and offended Moptop. That wasn't my intent - shaking a tin to take up a collection for a clock/calendar was a stupid thing to suggest (Slammen would no more donate his Motorhead collection than the Captain would loan out Paddy).

So, I'll put my hand up and apologise to Mop. He had limited time and missed the cut off time - all of us, at one time or another, have done the same. We know the pain - no need to add to it. If you're caught in a pickle you expect your mates to help out, not make it worse.

I'll shut my gob - sorry Moptop, carry on and better luck next week.

No offence taken, of course. And I didn't miss the cut-off, I was moaning about having to put in a team before the AFL teams were named, thus missing my first chance in ten weeks to have a ruckman on the field.
