On a more serious note, one hour and fifteen minutes is a pretty narrow window between teams being named and the cut-off, especially when you coach your son's soccer team at 4.20pm on Thursdays and have to guess.

Perhaps for future Thursday night game weeks we could lock in any players from those two teams and then complete the remaining positions once we know who's in.

I had no way of knowing Longer was going to be back this week so I'm ruckless again with my first choice ruckman available and not named. It grates a bit.

I ran once...in 1998. It was an interdepartment cricket match at UWA. I was the second highest score with an inglorious 4 runs.

In other more recent news, Boyd has done a sterling job as a back up ruck man. There may be life in the old souls yet.
