Round 11 commences with Sydney hosting Carlton at the SCG this Friday at 7.50pm, which means your team needs to be submitted to this thread by 5.40pm WA time.

Round 11

You cannot use any of your STCs in this round.



So, who is this Mr Nobody? Well, he's a rookie at this game; we know that. But he actually is doing quite well, especially considering the nuances of the DuFFLe. Things like your best AFL midfielder might be your in your forward line as he regularly kicks a few goals and besides, midfielders who rack up the possessions are not that hard to find. Evidence for this is that Joe Nobody is doing alright in the Best Coach award, sitting sixth amidst some luminary DuFFLers. Let's examine Joe's squad.

Ruck: Joe has Stephan Martin. An excellent ruck selection, but if Stephan gets injured, the Nobodies have nobody.
Backs: Lots of good scoring backs. These guys are regularly picking up 14-18 points a game.
Midfield: Yeah, a bit weak here. Joe really needs three players who average in the mid to high twenties.
Forwards: Not bad. The Nobodies have the choice of Caddy, Castagna, deGoey and Toby Greene.

On reflection, Joe Nobody ain't nothin'. Maybe a discrete player swap might see the Nobodies go deep into the DuFFLe finals in his first year. The last bloke to do that was Slammo, I reckon.
