Uneasy Lies the Head That Wears a Crown
Well, we didn’t see that coming. Slammen’s Men were pumped by nearly 70 points by the Covfefes. The Dreaded Bye Rounds do throw up some unexpected results but 391’s huge 170 point score is worth taking note. When teams are ranked, if someone fails someone is advantaged and this week we see Blocker’s WillsieAir taking the top spot on the DuFFLe ladder. I wouldn’t get too comfortable there, Blocker, as there are a bunch of teams on a 7/3 scoreline just looking to take your current eminent position; let alone the wrath of a defeated Slammo.
So WillsieAir did enough to defeat the Piglets and you’d have to think that FD was so, so hoping the little trotters would cross the line first, only to fall short by an handful. But congratulations to the Nobodies who had a big win against the formidable Knight Riders - well done, Joe.
MattyT keeps on notching up wins and sizeable wins at that. This week El Primero defeated Oos’ Kaykups convincingly. Mark my words, MattyT is the coach to beat this year. Talking of beating teams, Cookie still has a lot of ground to make up. In Round 10, Nelson’s Dreamers beat up on the Ingredients.
Straddo’s Souls were way too good for my Hermits and Bizkit found some hope in this dark year with a solid victory over Sonia’s Spurrs. The Jokers and Jedis proved too strong for Polly’s Hooley Dooley’s and Moptop’s Chooks.
