"i know whatever the ticket split is.....Freo Members and supporters should be eligable for at least 10000. I will be buying at least 2.....and I will not even be attending the game. If the game is played down there in the mud at Skilled/Symonds/Cattery....a call on Freo Supporters to take up every seat that we are allocated, regardless of whether we can attend.

Would make a few eyes open seeing all the vacant seats at the ground....yet the ground was a sell out. It will piss many Cat's fans off as they wouldn't be able to get in and it will reduce the crowd noise and advantage that Geelong will get down there.

Any tickets that are nor purchased by Freo members and supporters from the allocation given will only be purchased by Geelong fans. Lets take up all ticket allocation.....regardless of whether we are even able to go!!!!"

Many people would view this as a strange idea and also a waste of money....but I actually see it as a form of protest against the decision that was made as well as pissing off a number of Cats supporters that would have wanted to have attended the game if those seats were not purchased. As an added bonus it lessens the crowd impact an atmosphere which will be to Freo's advantage on the day.

The AFL are only contemplating doing this because it is the Fremantle Football Club and we are lead off field in general by a faceless couple of Steves who for one of the few times this year have actually raised their head and spoken out in defense of the Club they are suppose to be running.

Sadly due to their lack of appeal and credence their words will simply be brushed aside and given very little notice. As much as he is a bloody pain in the ass at times. Eddie Everywhere is an amazing President and was on the front foot immediately regarding this and every other matter that even remotely effect the Collingwood Football Club.

Just wait for Eddie to fire up 'IF' we loose to Geelong and get a home final the following week in Perth. Subi Oval is already booked as we are all aware on the Saturday night. Our preference would to be playing on the Friday.....but Eddie will not allow that as it means a 5 day break for his Club. Neither Club wants Sunday as the winner only gets a 5 day break......he has already pushed to have the game back at the MCG instead.

Obviously this will not happen.......however I admire Eddie for the way he speaks up and is totally focused on getting the best deal for his Club........Unlike the timid faceless men behind our great Club. We have finally established respect with our On Field success......sadly we are still a laughing stock with our Off Field personal.....The Two Steves!!!

The main point is Etihad is the appropriate ground for this game - last year the same game at the MCG got a crowd of 44,500 people.

And this year the w*&*a's at the AwFL might decide that a ground with capacity of 33,500 will suffice.

If the game is to be in Geelong then we should try access every single tkt allocated to freo. Doesn't mean buying a ticket & not showing up, but maybe there are supporters out there who aren't members that are east coast based who would snap up available tks. Possibly even w.a. Based non members prepared to travel.

I have eagle loving family in Melbourne. If it comes to the crunch they would support Freo over the Cats, and I'm prepared to buy them a ticket. But I'm not sure they could be bothered driving to Geelong.

But clearly the AFL is making a big mistake here. Another poster suggested the obvious - send a 2nd string team over and play a very physical game. Hell, I'm sure we could send a few players who can afford suspensions, because they wouldn't get selected early next year anyway.

Then smash the Pies or whoever comes over here the week after. Unless Eddy lobbies for that game to be played at the MCG...

I am seething at the prospect of playing in the a*#@hole end of Victoria on someone's back yard green patch and woke up this morning with this very thought! So glad I'm not alone - I say we snap up every available ticket and either fill the ground with Freo chants that destroys the home atmosphere or leave the seat empty. Either way - I'm buying a bloody ticket.
