I get and agree with what you are saying, however right now on the injury list Jobe is injued for six weeks. If I bring him into my squad right now, then he is unavailable for selection in my team for six weeks. If he comes back in 4 weeks, then great. But if in 4 weeks time he is still listed as injured for another 2 weeks, then he has been in my team and unavailable for selection due to injury for 4 weeks and still has 2 to go, therefore satisfying the 6 week injury rule exactly as you have detailed above.
Just to clarify, he is in my team from RD17 onwards, we get to RD 20 and the injury list says he is out for two more weeks, then he has been unavailable to me for 4 rounds (17-20 inclusive) and still unavailable for a further 2 rounds, therefore satisfying the 6 week rule. Or if I choose, after RD18 the injury list may say another four weeks out, therefore he has been unavailable to me for 2 RDs and is out for another 4 - again satisfying the 6 week rule, so if someone better becomes available in two weeks and the above criteria is met I can dump him for the better option.
