Round 9 commences Thursday May 9 when Carlton hosts Melbourne at the MCG at 5:30pm WA time. Your team needs to be submitted to this thread by 5:20pm on Thursday.



Round 9:
* BomberTroy (El Bombres) v CaptDazza (Jolly Jokers) at Stadium 7121
* MattyT (El Primero) v The Blocker (Willsie Aeroplane) at Swan Valley Arena
* Slammo-Jnr (Slammen's Saviours) v Straddo (Souls) at Saving Grace Stadium
* TheColonel (Carpark Trannies) v BossHog (Luke's Dukes) at Pollyadium
* Cookie (Ingredients) v FD1016 (Bay Bros) at Kitchen
* Bizkit (SoS Superstars) v Moptop (White Rabbits) at STFUppercut Stadium


Kiss of Death

  • BT v The Captain: The Bombres badly need a win to climb up towards the top eight but the Jokers are looking good. It looks like BT will languish in the DuFFLe cellar a little longer. Eighteen point margin.
  • MattyT v The Blocker: Interesting game. El Primero have been consistently performers this season and Blocker, too, has a team in solid form if not a little unlucky. This should be close. WillsieAir by five.
  • Slammo-Jnr v Straddo: Nup. Not going to do it. Straddo’s Souls by fifteen.
  • The Colonel v Boss Hog: Sporting a new knee, the Trannies’ coach will manoeuvre his squad around the board to take advantage of Boss Hog’s inexperience. The Dukes to fall short by seven points.
  • Cookie v FD: Purely on squad strength, Cookie’s Ingredients should win by ten but this really is a match between the coaches. If FD can find the right balance the Bay Bros can account for the Ingredients with a handful of points to spare. For Cookie to win, he has to determine who will play back and who will be in the midfield. These placement will decide the game. FD by four.
  • Bizkit v Moptop: The White Rabbits have’t put a rabbit’s foot wrong this year. Sure, they’ve had a couple of lucky wins but any team sitting nine-and-zero deserves admiration. The Stars, however, are back in form and now that they’ve slipped into the top eight Biz’s team would strike fear in any opponent. I think this will be the Rabbits first loss. Stars by twelve points.
