Firstly, I can't believe the DuFFLe is still running! So glad to hear it.
For the long-time players, you'll remember me as DM, or docker_man (I can't believe I remembered my password). In real life, I'm Matt Nicholls, a Victorian who has lived in Queensland for most of his adult life, yet is a diehard Docker.
I actually came back to Dockerland because someone told me at Marvel Stadium on Saturday that this website still existed and that Pollyanna had passed away. It definitely took the gloss off the win. I'm heartbroken and it was just made worse by reading those wonderful tributes on the main forum. Polly and I had some great banter in the DuFFLe.
I don't want to clog up the DuFFLe forum but just wanted to post in a safe space to say that competing in the DuFFLe was a real highlight for about 8-10 years and I left because I had a heap of stuff going on in my personal life and rather than deal with things like a grown-up should, I shut myself off to the world.
I hope all is well with everyone and, after having a quick look at the Round 2 results, it made me smile seeing so many familiar names.
