Ouch! That’ll Hurt.
By golly there were some close games in Round 1. The Captain sought to diminish my KOD genius by sneaking home by a single point against the Bay Bros, and Bizkit set no hearts aflutter with and underwhelming 1.5 point victory over The Colonel’s Trannies. There’s nothing here for FD and The Colonel; they just have to suck up these close outcomes and move on. Congrats to Luke’s Dukes for picking up their inaugural DuFFLe win. Sure, 136 points ain’t great but it was enough to get over the line against BT’s Bombres. I’ll tell you what was great; in fact, who was great. Moptop strode across this DuFFLe competition like he was almost as good as Cookie and in taking these humungous steps forward the Rabbits crushed WillsieAir. As expected, Cookie’s Formidables were too good for the reigning premier who, like Collingwood, has lost the first two games of the 2024 competition. Lastly, bad luck Slammo-Jnr. 149.5 points would normally secure yourself a win in the DuFFLe but MattyT’s Hombres were just that little bit better. You are 0 and 2 to start the season Slammo-Jnr, but that win-loss ratio will get much better as the season wears on.
